Hi, I’m Sepi, a visual artist based in Richmond Hill. Painting, for me, is more than strokes on a canvas. It’s a way of saying what words can’t, and a way of discovering something new about myself every time I pick up a brush.
My work centres on the human figure, especially women, and the quiet connection they share with the natural world. I work mostly in acrylic, graphite, and charcoal, blending realism with expressive, symbolic touches to explore strength, vulnerability, and self-discovery. Lately I’ve been drawn to stillness: contemplative figures set among trees, light, and landscape, where nature becomes a language for transformation. I like to think of these paintings as small dreamlike places, not echoes of the past but somewhere that has always existed.
Books, music, and my own life experiences feed everything I make.
Whether you’re an artist taking your first steps or simply someone who loves visual art, I’m so glad you’re here. On this blog I’ll share works in progress, the stories behind the pieces, and the things that keep me inspired. My hope is that something here stirs a feeling or a memory of your own.
