I’m happy to share that my painting Single Bloom has been accepted into the Colour & Form Society’s 74th Annual Juried Exhibition!
Actually, two of my paintings were accepted initially, which was wonderful news. However, one of them was also accepted into another juried exhibition at the Art Gallery of Mississauga, and since the two exhibitions overlap, I had to withdraw that piece from Colour & Form Society so it could remain in the other show. So, Single Bloom will be the piece I’m exhibiting with Colour & Form this time!
Single Bloom is an acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 16 × 16 inches. In this piece, I explore the connection between the human figure and the natural world. I’m drawn to the way nature can create a sense of calm and connection, and how the figure can become part of that environment rather than simply existing within it. Through colour, composition, and the relationship between the figure and its surroundings, I wanted to capture a feeling of harmony and invite the viewer to pause and take in the moment.
I’m grateful for these opportunities to share my work and be part of Toronto’s vibrant art community. If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to stop by and see the exhibition in person!
